Urgent Care Veterinary Services

If your pet is showing unusual symptoms or behaviors, please contact our office during regular business hours. For true emergencies, call one of the emergency hospitals listed above so their team can prepare for your arrival. Tender Care Animal Hospital provides urgent and regular care for dogs and cats during our normal clinic hours. We are committed to delivering compassionate, high‑quality medical care when your pet needs it.

While we can help triage your pet’s condition by phone and schedule urgent appointments when appropriate, we are not a full emergency facility. For life‑threatening situations, it is best to contact an emergency hospital first so they can be ready to provide immediate care.

Steps to Take for a Pet Urgent Care Need

If you are unsure whether your pet’s condition is urgent or an emergency, the steps below can help guide you:

  • Call Ahead If Possible - We can help you triage your pet’s condition during our regular business hours and determine whether an urgent‑care appointment is appropriate. However, if you believe your pet is experiencing a true emergency, please call one of the emergency hospitals listed above right away so they know you’re coming and can prepare to treat your pet as quickly as possible.
  • Follow Instructions Provided - Whether you speak with our team or an emergency hospital, you may receive instructions to help keep your pet safe, comfortable, or stable on the way in. Please follow all guidance carefully.
  • Remain Calm - Pets in pain or distress may react unpredictably. Stay calm, speak gently, and approach carefully to avoid accidental injury to yourself or your pet.
  • Bring Your Pet In For Care - Tender Care Animal Hospital provides urgent care by scheduled appointment only. If we determine your pet’s condition is appropriate for urgent care, we will schedule you as soon as possible and have you bring your pet in securely at that time.

If your pet is facing a true emergency, go directly to an emergency veterinary clinic, as they are fully equipped for immediate, life‑saving care.
